In my language arts class I have been reading a new book called speak. I have enjoyed reading about the struggles and though that Melinda has had to go thru. I think that this book is very realistic and could happen to someone in real life. This is what I think would happen.

In this book a young high school student named Melinda goes to a high school drinking party. What happened to her at that party made her call the cops. When she called them she didn’t speak at all and then they came. People ended up hating her for that because everybody got busted for drinking.

This book Is about a girl named Melinda who calls the cops during a high school drinking party and ends up being hated by everyone. I predict that in the end people will start talking to her again. I believe this because the only reason that she did is because of what happened at the party. What happened at the party was horrible. I believe that she is going to expose her secret and people will start talking to her again. if they realize what happened i think they will understand

But I have just finished this wonderful book and found out what happened. In the end people did start to talk to her again. And she ended up being popular because of what happened. But the lacrosse team saw what happened and got help, and then ended up telling everyone. I was half wrong and half right with my prediction of this book. I was right because she did get her secret out and did end up being liked again but; it wasn’t her that told everybody about her secret.

This book was very inspiring to me and had good meaning.  I would recommend anyone that enjoys a good book about a girl overcoming her struggles with people. After reading this I would never keep big secrets in without telling anyone because things could go very bad if I do.
